Self-Aligning Turning Roll This innovative turning roll system comprises one set of Active Roller rack and one set of Passive Roller rack. The Active Roller is expertly driven by a motor coupled with a reduction gear, enabling a seamless stepless speed change.
Our Self-Aligning Turning Rolls automatically adjust the wheel centerline setting when a vessel is positioned, eliminating the need for changing couplings or removing pins. 'SA-Rolls' deliver consistent centerline capabilities, ensuring swift and effortless setup and alignment. These self-aligning rollers can adeptly rotate workpieces with diameters from as small as 12" up to a substantial 16', all without necessitating any adjustment or alterations to drive shafts. Available in a robust capacity range of 15 tons to 180 tons, these rolls are powered by sophisticated AC variable frequency drives, offering a broad spectrum of rotation speeds. Standard comes a hand-held operator pendant, with optional foot switch controls for enhanced ease of use.
The infinite automatic adjustability of centerline settings facilitates easy alignment, especially for tapered vessels. Moreover, the implementation of four wheels per unit extends additional support, making them perfect for thin-walled vessels.
