The Self-Aligning Turning Rolls ingeniously adapt the wheel centerline setting automatically when a vessel is positioned, eliminating the need for cumbersome couplings or pins. 'SA-Rolls' are designed to effortlessly maintain a constant centerline, facilitating swift and hassle-free setup and alignment. These rollers accommodate a vast range of workpiece diameters, from a modest 12" to an impressive 16', without requiring any drive shaft adjustments. With capacities ranging from 15 tons to a robust 180 tons, the rolls are powered by cutting-edge AC variable frequency drives. This ensures a broad spectrum of rotation speeds, further enhanced by standard hand-held operator pendants, with optional foot switch controls for added convenience.
The automatically, infinitely adjustable centerline settings streamline alignment for tapered vessels, while the enhanced surface area provided by four wheels per unit delivers superior support, particularly beneficial for thin-walled vessels.
